Duke Nukem Forever Review: Duke Nukem has been around over 15 years. I know, I had a hard time believing that myself. But the last Duke Nukem was Duke Nukem 3D by 3D Realms that pumped out a sweet 3 million copies on release in 1996. And Duke will always sell as long as he is allowed to do what he does – Booze, Brawl and Bed Buxom Babes. If anyone ever plays a Duke Nukem game and says, “Well, the story line is kinda weak,” just hand them a copy of Mario Brothers anything and tell them to run home to Momma.
There is definitely a lot of fun to be had when you are allowed to run amok killing aliens, mutants and monsters, dropping F bombs and other expletives and boozing it up while getting “hot chicks,” but such is the life of the irreverent, potty-mouthed Duke Nukem, the central character in this FPS gore-fest. That is what Duke has always been about, but is that about to change?

No way, says 3D Realms creative director George Broussard. which will release for all platforms on June 10 in the U.S. and June 14 worldwide. After 15 years and dozens of copycats, if you even have an inkling of getting a copy, pre-order if at all possible, for two reasons.
First, there is a whole generation of gamers in twenties who have never played a Duke Nukem game, but have heard all about them. And they are finally old enough to be able to purchase the Mature Rated game, so there are a few dozen million copies right there. Then add the fact that original Nukem fans are now in their thirties, forties and fifties, and have a lot of disposable income. That means you can kiss another 40 or 50 million copies goodbye immediately. So purchasing now is the prudent move, by far.
2K assures fans that Forever will be boiling “over-the-top with irreverent humor, catchy one-liners that will make your mama blush, and frantic, bone-shaking action sequences that will simultaneously rock your world and neighbors’ walls.” So buy a new gaming tablet, get a kicking wireless headset, pre-order what is sure to be a record breaker at the sales gate June 13, and join me in some Bad Boy Duke Nukem Forever fun.
