The box contains Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure Nintendo 3DS game, 3 Skylanders figures (Nintendo 3DS Exclusive Dark Spyro, Stealth Elf, and Ignitor), a Portal of Power, 3 AAA Duracell batteries, a character poster, 3 trading cards, 3 sticker sheets, 3 web codes, and a USB to mini USB cable.
After you register an account on the Skylanders website, it asks you to register your web codes. After you register 1 web code, you will be able to play the online game. You’ll first have a walk-through/tutorial, but afterwards it will move onto the next character for you to register. When you’ve registered the 3rd code, the website will give you an option to install a Skylanders USB driver for your computer. This will allow you to connect the Portal of Power to your computer. Doing this enables it all of your stats to be saved onto the figurine. This enables you to be able to play both versions and save all the stats on the same figurine.
Below is a video showing the 30 different figurines that you can collect which retail for $7.99 each. There are 2 Adventure Packs (Pirate Seas and Darklight Crypt) out right now for Skylanders which retail at $19.99. Toys R Us has partnered up with Activsion to provide 3 legendary figurines (Legendary Spyro, Legendary Bash, and Legendary Chop Chop) which is not shown on the video below. Each pack has 4 pieces, 1 character and 3 level pieces. You can unlock new levels with these packs.
