Fallout: New Vegas Xbox 360 Patch Nightmare

Obsidian is widely known for being able to write some of the best stories for games around. Knights of the Old Republic 2 was a masterpiece in its writing, and New Vegas has, at least in my opinion, a much more engaging and interesting story than Fallout 3 did.

Obsidian is also known for having the shittiest programmers in the industry, and everything they release always feel like a late stage beta as opposed to a finished, polished product. It is a depressing state of affairs.

Yesterday, a patch was released for Fallout: New Vegas that had some much needed balance tweaks, and everyone rejoiced. Then Xbox 360 users realized that New Vegas would no longer load any of their save games. Bethesda released a statement telling Xbox 360 owners to hold off on downloading the patch until a fix could be solved.

A fix has apparently been found, and a new patch has been released, and so far no new game crippling bugs have been reported.

I think Fallout: New Vegas could have used another month or three of development before it was released.
