A few weeks ago we provided our readers with a list of the top 40 free games to download for both the Apple iPad and the iPad 2. Now we thought we would take a look at some of the best free games that are available for users of the Android operating system.
Gary Cutlack over at techradar.com has recently provided a list of what he believes is the top 40 best free gaming apps for Android. There are a few word games that have made it onto the list, including the hugely popular Words with Friends application.
The Words with Friends app – a turn-based word game – enables users to play up to 20 games simultaneously. Another word-related app that made it onto the list is the Word Drop game, in which players have to make blocks disappear by spelling out words.
There are also a number of puzzle-related games on the list including the gem-shuffling game Bebbled, ConnecToo and Frozen Bubble. If you like platform games, you’ll be pleased to know that games such as Abduction! Cordy and Replica Island made the list.
However, the game that unsurprisingly made it to the top of the list of best free games to download for Android was of course Angry Birds!! You can read all about the other games on the list via techradar.com. What is your favorite free game for Android?
