StarHub, together with WooWorld, has organised a mobile game competition for Android fans, pitting the skills of participants in two popular franchises – Bejeweled 2 HD and Need For Speed Shift HD.
To enter, StarHub subscribers have to buy and download Bejeweled 2 HD or Need For Speed Shift HD into their Android smartphones. Non-Android phone users can also take part by downloading Java versions of the games. The HD and Java games are priced at S$8.56 each.
Gamers submit their best scores via SMS and are ranked daily on the tournament website. Shortlisted finalists will compete at the annual License2Play exhibition using the latest Android devices by HTC. The exhibition will be held at Suntec Singapore Hall 401 from May 27 to 29. Admission is free.
First prize in the Need For Speed and Bejeweled 2 category is a smart tablet HTC Flyer, second prize is the recently-launched Android-powered HTC Incredible S and HTC Desire S, respectively, with hot-selling EA PC games Crysis2 Limited Edition going to the third to 10th spots.
