The Nintendo 3DS has been spotted at its lowest price yet in the papery jungle of newspaper advertising.
The Carphone Warehouse is offering the eyeball tickling handheld for no more than £160 straight up. That’s a reduction from £229.99 and an overall saving of £69.99. It could just be a moment of generosity from the high-street chain, of course, but even Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata admitted in April that the 3DS wasn’t selling as expected, blaming public confusion as the problem. 
Last week US retailer GameStop said that Nintendo 3DS sales were lagging behind expectations, which could explain the price drop at The Carphone Warehouse if the company is experiencing the same lack of interest.
