The Russian game studio, Nival (although better known to some gamers as Astrum Nival) is expanding once more with a brand new office opening in Los Angeles, California here in the U.S. This will be the fourth office opened for Nival and will be part of the growing movement of online games designed for both PCs and mobile phones.
Orlovskiy, founder and president of Nival commented in the press release, saying…
“The United States is well known for innovation and our aspiration is to have a similar reputation for originality with gamers,” … “We anticipate continued growth in the online space and believe we can carve out our own unique position by tying social and strategy elements together in a new genre of gaming.”
Nival currently has an impressive pedigree already , including titles such as Heroes of Might Magic V, Blitzkerg and of course, the mammoth free-to-play MMO Allods Online. It will be interesting to see what the company comes up with next.
There are two projects currently in works for North American release, with one project estimated to enter beta testing later this year. Nival wants to focus on social networking MMOs and some mobile titles. The company is also planning to attend this year’s E3, with the aforementioned projects expected to be on showcase.
