Details for the Uncharted 3 beta have finally dropped and includes information on when it begins on the PS3, when it ends, how to get in and what maps and modes players should expect.
The Uncharted 3 beta starts on June 28 for those that got a voucher from inFamous 2 or have subscribed to Playstation Plus. Everyone else will get the chance to join in on July 4 until the beta finally ends on July 13.
Players will be able to reach a maximum level of 25 as they play across two maps – one set on an airfield and the other in a French chateau. Both maps feature dynamic events and multi-levels.
The beta will feature nine different game modes ranging from standard deathmatch and Plunder modes to three unannounced co-op modes. One mode includes the ability for players to wager the XP they’ve earned similar to the wage matches in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Most of the non-co-op modes will be five on five battles but a few will be 2 vs 2 vs 2.
Four different Power Plays and eight different Booster Packs will also be available in the Uncharted 3 beta along with four different kickbacks. The weapons will include the standard assortment of sniper rifles, assault rifles, pistols and even RPGs. Players will be able to choose between Nathan Drake, Sully, a treasure hunter for the good guy team or a pirate for the villains and all will be customizeable.
With the Playstation Network ‘Welcome Back’ package including a free month of Playstation Plus for everyone, pretty much any PSN subscriber should be able to get into the beta when it launches if Sony releases the package in time.
